The Role

This is a hands-on, multi-functional role focused on managing day-to-day operations of vending, retail, and kiosk systems across the UK, Ireland, and EU. You’ll lead the Vending Technician team, ensure stock accuracy, maintain Power BI reports, and act as the key contact for technical and operational issues. The role also involves coordinating vending setups, managing SIM/eSIM data files, and supporting cross-functional teams with ad-hoc needs.

Key Responsibilities

Stock Team Oversight

  • Oversee day-to-day activities and performance of the Vending Technician team.
  • Manage the vending machine filling schedule to ensure service levels (SLAs) are consistently met.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for any vending-related investigations, technician support queries, or reported machine issues.
  • Ensure accurate month-end reconciliations for both UK and Ireland vending operations and stock rooms.

Power BI Reporting

  • Develop and maintain reports aligned with the needs of the Operations team.
  • Collaborate with the Data Services team to ensure consistency in report structure and alignment with Data Warehouse standards.
  • Maintain and improve the existing reporting suite to ensure accuracy and usability.

Vending Technology

  • Act as the primary contact for any technical issues or updates required for Innovend machines across the UK, Ireland, and EU.
  • Lead all technical changes and innovation initiatives between SL and Innovend.
  • Coordinate setup for both domestic and international vending solutions.
  • Communicate regularly with senior management regarding issue tracking and escalation updates.

Data File Management

  • Maintain and regularly update the SIM card data files.
  • Manage and upload eSIM data files as needed or upon request.

Retail Till Management

  • Act as the main point of contact for any issues or updates related to STL tills.
  • Set up new tills across all operational regions (UK, Ireland, EU, and beyond).
  • Ensure all tills are functioning correctly with required installations and accessories.
  • Handle maintenance of Retail Pixel screen technology.

Kiosk Support

  • Manage and update kiosks used for eSIM sales.
  • Monitor sales and payment activity to ensure accuracy and flag discrepancies.
  • Provide regular performance and issue-tracking updates to senior management, similar to vending machine reporting.

Stock Management

  • Monitor and maintain pSIM stock-on-hand (SOH) in alignment with company stock policies.
  • Raise all stock purchase orders for UK and Ireland.
  • Accurately complete month-end stock processes.
  • Upload data files for both physical and electronic SIMs.
  • Manage bulk top-ups for vending stock as needed.

Ad-Hoc Responsibilities

  • Support the business with various ad-hoc tasks as required.
  • May include general updates, installations, stock-related finance controls, or cross-functional support—particularly with the Ireland-based team.
  • Provide technical support and assist with unplanned operational needs.
